The context before the tool

Every business
has its own frictions.

Seven contexts for which something is already written on this site: what blocks them, which path keeps them coherent, what is needed on the side of the people who run them. This is not a list of clients and not a boundary: they are descriptions of work, not specialisations to certify.

How these seven are chosen.

A context enters here when it already has a page of its own, with a description of its frictions, a typical path and a stated example. They do not enter because of fashion, or market size, or because “that sector brings work”. They are the same seven named in the brief questionnaire: here they find the part that is useful before filling it in.

If your context is not here, that is not a sign the work does not concern you. The starting point is the problem, not the sector: Where to start begins from two questions — something is not working, or some pieces are not there yet — and from there it leads to the relevant situations and capabilities.

What you find on an industry page.

The seven pages have the same structure, so they can be compared with each other.

  • The typical frictions. Three lines on what breaks first: information spread around, incomplete requests, data held by hand.
  • The typical path. From where a person arrives to how a request closes, step by step.
  • A described scenario. A plausible case, stated as a scenario: it shows who decides what, and where a piece stays in the tool that already manages it.
  • What is needed as input. The materials, the access and — almost always — someone responsible for updating the information and answering the requests that need a person.
  • What can be observed. The events that context produces: complete enquiries, clicks towards the booking tool, response time. These are indicators to agree on, not numbers already measured.
  • The capabilities involved. Two or three service pages, with the reason they are needed in that context.

How this page is used.

Open the page you recognise, not the one that seems closest to your commercial name. Compare it with two things: the free audit, which reads the structure of your site as it is today, and Where to start, which serves to choose the first intervention. If the path described resembles yours, the next step is describing it in the brief: that is where scope, priorities and timings go.

What you do not find here.

No client named: the only published job with a name is in Work, and it is published with its authorisation. No figures: the indicators listed on the industry pages have no values. No promise of ranking or of result. And no sector certification: describing a context well does not make a job more competent, it only makes it possible to talk about it precisely.
